I know, it’s not exactly a new idea, but I thought I’d try out some high-contrast and mono-colour climbing pictures. Here’s a batch from last Friday at Hyggen Vest, a newly developed (mainly trad) crag between Asker and Drammen.
Sebastian and Emil kindly acted as models.
Peeking out from under a small overhang, Emil is doing the second harder sequence in this two-sequence-wonder. It’s a trad line of grade six-something.
A no-hands rest and photo opp one meter from the anchor.
Sebastian protecting the first of the two harder sequences on the route.
The second harder sequence also went well and there was absolutely no reason to withold a smile any longer.
Even if we only had a short day, we had time to try a really nice dihedral as well. Here Emil is showing how it’s done.
